About Our Projects
Project V: Empowering Youth through Awareness
In April 2024, Understanding the significance of this information for the youth of India, Heart2Heart conducted an interactive session at Sarvapriya NGO focusing on the crucial topic of good touch & bad touch aimed at educating children about personal safety. Using visual examples, diagrams, and a detailed presentation, we engaged the children in a manner that was both informative & captivating. The active participation of the children, along with their eagerness to learn, was truly inspiring. Throughout the session, our volunteers demonstrated various scenarios to help the children distinguish between good & bad touch, ensuring the material was age-appropriate & easily understandable & we provided snacks to the children at the end of the session to make the learning experience more enjoyable. The impact of this initiative was profound, as it not only educated the children but also empowered them to protect themselves & communicate openly about their experiences. This project reaffirmed our commitment to creating a safer & more informed environment for all children.
Project VI: Enriching Workshop at Navjyoti
On April, 2024, Heart2Heart team organized a heartwarming workshop at Navjyoti in Gurugram for preschool children. This engaging session focused on arts & crafts, playful activities, & joyful interactions. The children were encouraged to express their creativity through various crafts, guided, & supported by our team members. We ensured that every child received individual attention, making sure no one was left out. The session also included playful dancing & the distribution of chocolates, which added to the children's excitement and happiness. Witnessing the children’s enthusiasm & the joy on their faces was incredibly rewarding for all of us involved. The impact of this workshop was significant, as it provided a fun & educational experience for the children, fostering their creativity & social skills. It also reinforced our commitment to nurturing young minds & creating positive, memorable experiences for them.
Project VII: From Soil to Soul - The Battle to Sow
In June 2023, our founders visited rural farms in India to understand the environmental challenges faced by local farmers. The project, inspired by the theme "From Soil to Soul: The Battle to Sow," aims to raise awareness about the issues of climate change, water scarcity, soil degradation, & biodiversity loss that threaten agricultural practices. Through engaging interactions, we documented the farmers' stories & struggles, highlighting their fight for a greener tomorrow. By promoting sustainable practices, water conservation, & ecosystem restoration, we seek to support these farmers in their efforts to maintain their livelihoods. Join us in this mission to advocate for rural farmers and a sustainable future.
Project IV: Sheroes
It was a profoundly moving experience to witness the powerful female warriors of the Sheroes Cafe. Despite the unimaginable challenges they have faced, these resilient women have transformed their adversity into strength, running a beautifully decorated cafe adorned with books, balloons, & heartfelt handwritten notes that resonate with their journey of overcoming the adversity. The statistics from India's National Crime Records Bureau data, state that there were more than 1,000 acid attack cases reported between 2017 & 2021. It’s awful to see the stigma around these survivors- which regrettably includes school-going children & innocent girls, whose dreams were inhumanely snatched away from them, by perhaps the cruelest crimes against humanity. These strong women have managed to build an efficient business with unwavering smiles on their faces and it’s through their stories, & endeavors that we’re reminded of the urgent need for justice, compassion, and inclusivity in our society.
​Project III: Recycling and sustainability
On 28th March 2023, Heart2Heart proudly participated in the Garbage Free India (GFI) initiative. GFI works tirelessly to promote responsible plastic usage & recycling, aligning perfectly with our mission to contribute to a sustainable tomorrow, GFI aims to achieve SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Through monthly plastic collection drives, we donate plastic waste to GFI. This waste is then upcycled into useful products like mats and artefacts, empowering underprivileged communities while reducing plastic pollution. The reckless consumption of plastic has severe consequences for our ecosystems & our health. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future. Project II: Inclusivity through Connecting threads
According to the CDC, a disability is any condition of the body or mind that makes it more difficult for the person with the condition to do certain activities. Recognizing the importance of inclusivity & empowerment, Heart2Heart participated in the workshop ‘Connecting Threads’ which was to raise awareness about the inclusivity of specially abled people, to raise funds for them via the purchasing of creative products which were beautifully made by them. This was a platform for them to avail equal employment opportunities & sustain their life with dignity to truly achieve an egalitarian society. It is through initiatives like ‘Connecting Threads’ that we can strive towards a community where every individual is valued for their unique talents & contributions. Together, we can work towards breaking down barriers and ensuring a more inclusive & supportive environment for all.
Project I: Spreading Joy
On Children's Day, 2022, our team organized a heartfelt donation drive aimed at bringing joy to the underprivileged children of Tigra village. We distributed not only chocolates, money, and stationery items but also essential supplies to support their educational and daily needs. Witnessing the bright smiles and expressions of gratitude on their faces was an immensely touching experience for all of us involved. It reinforced our commitment to making a positive difference in their lives and creating moments of happiness. Here's wishing everyone a truly joyful and fulfilling Children's Day!
